Transparency is key. I maintain open lines of communication and continue to foster, support, and advocate for the public that has elected me. I believe in the importance of relationships and the power we, as a community, have to care for and support each other because of those connections.
Our growth must reflect and retain the historic character of our county's small towns and rural communities. I advocate for bringing family-centered businesses to Columbia County. Family wage jobs enable us to work close to home, which allows us to be involved in the community through coaching, volunteering, and shopping at local businesses. With responsible development, we can achieve these goals.
It is crucial to support our first responders and public safety officers to ensure safe communities. Equipping our law enforcement with the necessary tools and resources ensures that our citizens and their families feel safe and that their property is protected.
We must create opportunities for our youth through parks, trails, and access to public property.
Positive networking among our communities, and organizations such as our cities, chambers of commerce, businesses, and civic organizations, is essential. When we help connect others to make a difference in the lives of our community, we all win.

Growing up in Columbia County, I’ve been fortunate to experience everything our beautiful region has to offer. I’ve fished in Trojan and Salmonberry, hiked and hunted in our expansive woods, and kayaked and swum in our pristine waters. Honestly, there’s no other place I would rather raise my family than here in Columbia County.
My husband, Brandon, and I met in high school and have been happily married for 22 years. Together, we have eight children, including biological, adopted, and foster kids. We’ve proudly served as foster parents since 2015.
Our family has owned and operated Oregon Trail Lanes, the beloved bowling center in St. Helens, since 1981. I took on a more active role in the business starting in 2005, managing duties in CFO, Compliance, HR, Marketing, and Planning.
As an involved parent volunteer, I found myself drawn to our local schools, advocating for our children. I was elected as a St. Helens School District Board Member in 2013, 2017, and 2021. During my time on the board, I’ve served as Chair, Vice-Chair, and Chair of the Budget Committee, as well as participating in various facilities, student, and parent committees. Most notably, I co-chaired the three bond committees that successfully secured funding to build two new schools, Plymouth High School and St. Helens Middle School, along with renovating St. Helens High School.
My commitment to volunteerism extends to many years of supporting local youth activities, including serving as a Player Agent for St. Helens Little League, and several years as a board member and coach for youth basketball.
As an experienced community collaborator and networker, I’ve dedicated my time as a core team leader for Connect St. Helens, where I help plan, execute, and administer various community projects. I am particularly passionate about suicide prevention. By sharing our experiences and listening to others' journeys, we create a shared bond and a sense of belonging in our community.
From 2014 to 2018, I had the privilege of volunteering as a Reserve Deputy for the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, attending the Marine Academy and spending valuable time on the Columbia River.
